The "Hunters House" is situated in a central location in the beautiful Alpine village of Lofer. Just 35 minutes from Saltzburg or 1.5 hours from Munich airports. Set within its own grounds it has ample off road parking and is within 5 minutes walk from the Lofer telecabin where the two village ski school operations are based. For the less energetic the village ski bus passes by the house and will drop you off directly in front of the telecabin. The British Olympic Training Centre is based in Lofer due to its facilities and easy access to the regions plentiful skiing.

The village of Lofer lies on the banks of the roaring Saalach River where white water rafting and competition canoeing and kayaking can be enjoyed throughout the year. The village lies at 626 metres above sea level and is overlooked by the Loferer Steinberge mountains where the Lofer telecabin gives access to the 2500 metre skiing.

Lofer boasts 58 kms of runs with its "jewel in the crown" being the beautiful non stop 10 kms run from top to village.

The skiing is wonderfully uncrowded as few people outside Austria know of the resort. For the advanced skier there is the option of the Salzburg Skipass which covers 42 resorts, including Kitzbuhel, Zell am Zee and the glacier resort of Kaprun (which offers guranteed skiing all year round). Whilst these resorts are all approximately 35 minutes away many of the other resorts are even closer. The local ski bus network covers the resorts if you do not have your own transport.
